How one team member is helping diversify Stratos’ offerings

When Monica came on board in late 2018, she managed more than 200 service partners across 38 job sites as our Director of Custodial Operations. The position certainly helped the Memphis native sharpen her leadership skills and enabled her to put her psychology degree to work. You see, Monica loves people and people love Monica. Because of this, elevating her to our Employee Relations Specialist in 2022 was a no-brainer.

In her current role, Monica wears many hats. Her ultimate goal is to handle recruiting and onboarding of new team members, as well as to assist service partners with personal and professional needs when called upon. 

“Working alongside people has always been my passion, so helping them overcome challenges or access basic needs on a day-to-day basis, aside from setting them up when they first come onboard, has been such a joy.” 

Prior to joining the team, Monica worked in the hospitality industry, spending time at The Guesthouse at Graceland, The Peabody Memphis and the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown. When she took the job with Stratos back in 2018, she thought she left all but the people-side of her hospitality experience in the past, that was until we moved into a newly renovated office space that just so happens to double as an event venue. Putting 307 Madison duties on her plate was, you guessed it, a no-brainer.

Monica has been instrumental in the creation of 307 Madison, our new event venue venture. From helping finalize the venue’s contract with legal counsel to introducing industry professionals to the space, she has had a hand in it all.
