Our region has seen tremendous growth as of late. In fact, Tennessee experienced an 8.7 percent increase in new business filings in the first quarter, according to the Tennessee Quarterly Business and Economic Indicators report. With growth comes construction. With construction comes clean up. With clean up comes ServiceMaster by Stratos service partners. The rising tide raises all boats!

During our post-construction cleaning jobs, Stratos has the pleasure of working with the contractors managing the build, like Metro Construction. Founded in 1981, Metro has been involved in some of Memphis’ most notable developments over the years, including renovations to the award-winning Peabody Hotel and the construction of the Fire Museum of Memphis.

About four years ago, Jeff Savage, vice president of Metro Construction, met Stratos CEO Stacy McCall at a cityCURRENT event. Soon after, Stacy called upon Jeff and his team to handle the renovation of Stratos’ offices in the historic Lowenstein building downtown, and Metro began selecting Stratos as their post-construction cleaning crew.

“After Metro renovated Stratos’ offices downtown, we started working together in getting some construction cleans going. Without a doubt, we knew we had a great thing going in terms of Stratos’ ability to communicate clearly and the quality of their work,” Savage said.

Although Jeff was satisfied with Metro’s previous post construction team, once he saw how Stratos’ service partners raised the bar in terms of communication and quality of work, he was sold. He feels like he has an organized point person in the Facilities Group Managers assigned to Metro clean ups, and that Stacy is always very accessible as well.

Over the years, Metro has turned to Stratos time and time again, including jobs at Graceland, FOX 13 and Char. Jeff has clearly been impressed with the service partners assigned to Metro construction sites. They can be counted on, and always go above and beyond what’s expected of them, making it easy for Jeff to look forward to working with them for years to come.

“They ask before they leave if everything looks good,” Savage said. “Believe it or don’t, that is rare in my business.”
