Stratos one of eight in America to complete Capital One CATAPULT Program
ServiceMaster by Stratos is one of eight companies in the nation to recently complete participation in the second annual Capital One CATAPULT Program. The seven-month curriculum is designed to assist a group of diverse business owners who are members of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) with developing solutions for a challenge that is critical to their business’s success. Participants selected through a competitive application process take part in instructional courses, collaborative thinking workshops and have access to experts in the field and a dedicated advisor throughout the process.
CEO Stacy McCall and project manager Amanda Maness traveled to Dallas for a total of six sessions, to attend workshops where the duo leverages the program’s benefits to design and plan technology solutions that will serve to increase efficiencies in the business.
“Not only does this program give us an opportunity to solve a business need, it gives us the chance to connect with experts with diverse skill sets and experiences as well,” said Stacy McCall, CEO of ServiceMaster by Stratos. “As a small business, we simply don’t have access to these types of businesspersons or forward thinking methodologies like you would in a Fortune 500 company. We, small business USA, have access to this because someone wanted to invest their resources in us.”
To be considered for the program, businesses must be a diversity-owned business that has been operating for at least three years with a minimum annual revenue between $1 million and $10 million and one that is working to solve a complex business problem or creating a new product or service. Upon completion, each of the nine businesses pitched its business solution to a panel of judges. Three winners received prize packages to go toward implementing their plans.
