ServiceMaster by Stratos CEO Stacy McCall understands the importance of leading inside and outside the organization, so it is no surprise that she was recently selected to be president of the National Association of Women Business Owners’ Memphis chapter. In case you are unfamiliar, NAWBO Memphis is the local chapter of a national organization that is propelling women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power.

Now, let’s hand it over to Stacy to give us her outlook for the organization under her leadership.

I am honored to serve as NAWBO Memphis President. As a female entrepreneur, I have intimate knowledge of the struggles, pain points and needs women in leadership positions face every day. As a result, playing a part in providing the resources women business owners need to grow and develop professionally is very fulfilling to me. NAWBO is such a great organization, giving ladies the chance to network with one another, continue to learn and become all that we are meant to be as business owners.

The two C’s – culture and communication – and I are one, so I will definitely be leaning on those two areas to drive my approach in this new role. I think honing in on our internal and external communications is key. For example, conducting member surveys can shed light on immediate and long-term needs of members and can help us drive value for them. This strengthens the culture of the organization and enhances communication. Our board retreat is coming up on Aug. 19. We will discuss potential areas of focus as a group and map out our plans for the year ahead.

I look forward to seeing how NAWBO positively impacts women business owners in Memphis and beyond.

Gratefully,
Stacy McCall
